Ümraniye’de okul servisi bilinmeyen bir nedenle alev alev yandı. Yanan araç kullanılamaz hale gelirken, olayda ölen veya yaralanan olmadı. Olay, saat 16.30 sıralarında Elmalıkent Mahallesi Diyar Sokak’ta yaşandı. İddiaya göre, Salih Erba’nın kullandığı Volkswagen marka 34 LUB 672 plakalı servis minibüsünden seyir halinde bilinmeyen bir nedenle duman çıkmaya başladı. Servis şoförü alevleri yangın tüpüyle söndürmek istedi. Bir anda alevlerin yükselmesi üzerine Erba, itfaiye ekiplerine haber verdi. Olay yerine gelen itfaiye ekipleri hızlı bir şekilde yanan aracı söndürdü. Yaşanan olayda araç kullanılamaz hale geldi.
