Yunanistan, ABD desteğiyle modernize edilen iki F-16'yı teslim aldı

ABD desteğiyle modernize edilen iki F-16 tipi savaş uçağının Yunan Hava Kuvvetlerine teslim edildiği bildirildi.

Yunan basınında yer alan habere göre, ABD desteğiyle modernize edilen F-16 uçakların teslimi Tanagra'daki Yunan Hava Kuvvetleri Sanayii tesislerinde resmi törenle yapıldı.

Modernize edilmiş iki F-16'nın, ilk uçuşunu Eğriboz Adası üzerinden yaparak, Girit'teki Suda Üssüne gitmesi planlanıyor.

Yıl sonuna kadar toplam 6 adet F-16'nın modernizasyonunun tamamlanması hedefleniyor.

F-16 modernizasyon programı kapsamında, toplamda 83 adet F-16'nın "Viper" seviyesinde güncellenmesi öngörülüyor.
