In the town of Angostura in Venezuela's Bolivar state, a collapse occurred in the illegal gold mine known as Bulla Loca. It is reported that a large number of people have lost their lives or are trapped underground, with the moment of the collapse captured on camera.
Bolivar Security Secretary Edgar Colina Reyes confirmed the accident, but did not provide information on the number of casualties or those trapped underground.
The Ministry of Communication and Information in Venezuela stated that officials have not yet been able to determine the exact number of fatalities, trapped individuals, or injuries. Angostura Mayor Yorgi Arciniega, however, stated in his remarks that at least 30 people have died in the accident, with approximately 100 individuals trapped underground. Search and rescue teams have been dispatched to the area where the mine is located.
